It has been announced at an event held on September 17, 2022 that a sequel to the TV anime "My Dress-Up Darling" (Sono Bisque Doll wa Koi wo Suru), based on the manga by Shinichi Fukuda, has been green-lit for production.

The series is based on the manga by Shinichi Fukuda, serialized in Square Enix's "Young Gangan." The story is a youthful romantic comedy about Wakana Gojo, a high school boy aspiring to become a kashira-shi (hina doll head craftsman), and Marin Kitagawa, a popular classmate passionate about cosplay. After sharing a secret, the worlds of these two people — who were never supposed to intersect — begin to change.

The first season of the TV anime aired from January 2022, attracting significant attention for its high-quality animation produced by CloverWorks and its charming character portrayals.

The staff includes director Keisuke Shinohara, series composition and screenplay by Yoriko Tomita, character design and chief animation director Kazumasa Ishida, music by Takeshi Nakatsuka, and animation production by CloverWorks.

The cast features Hina Naota as Marin Kitagawa, Shoya Ishige as Wakana Gojo, Atsumi Tanezaki as Sajuna Inui, Hina Yomiya as Shinju Inui, and Atsushi Ono as Kaoru Gojo.
