The series is the TV anime adaptation of TECHNOROID, the media-mix project from Shibaura Android Laboratory. It follows humanoid androids known as Technoroids as their singing voices bring them into contact with the human heart, and they grow into something real. Animation production is handled by Doga Kobo.
At the centre of the story are the android units KNoCC and STAND-ALONE, whose cast members both voice the characters and perform their songs in the series.
