The theatrical anime "The Concierge at Hokkyoku Department Store," based on the manga by Tsuchika Nishimura, opened in Japanese theaters on Friday, October 20, 2023. It is a heartwarming fantasy set in a mysterious department store visited only by animal customers.

■Overview
The original work is a manga by Tsuchika Nishimura, serialized in Shogakukan's Big Comic Special. Set at "Hokkyoku Department Store," visited only by animal customers, the story follows new concierge Akino as she attends to the troubles and wishes of various animal patrons, including endangered "VIA" clients, in her daily work.

Animation production is by Production I.G. This marks director Yoshimi Itazu's theatrical anime directorial debut. The screenplay is by Satomi Oshima, character design and animation direction by Chiyo Morita, cinematography by Hiroshi Tanaka, and music by tofubeats.
