The series is a TV anime based on a popular web novel. In a world where passages called "Gates" connecting other dimensions to the real world have appeared, humans who have awakened to special abilities known as "Hunters" have emerged. The protagonist Sung Jinwoo, an E-rank Hunter known as the weakest weapon, encounters a mysterious quest window after sustaining near-fatal injuries in a low-level dungeon. From there, he gains the power to level up — a power only he possesses — and rises to become the strongest Hunter.
The staff includes director Shunsuke Nakashige, series composition by Noboru Kimura, character design by Tomoko Sudo, and music by Hiroyuki Sawano. Animation production is by A-1 Pictures.
The cast features Taito Ban as Sung Jinwoo, Genta Nakamura as Yoo Jinho, Hazuki Mikawa as Sung Jinah, Reina Ueda as Cha Hae-In, Daisuke Hirakawa as Choi Jong-In, Hiroki Tochi as Baek Yoonho, Banjo Ginga as Go Gunhee, and Makoto Furukawa as Woo Jinchul.
