The TV anime adaptation of Tokuya Higashigawa's bestselling humor mystery novel "The Dinner Table Detective" (Nazotoki wa Dinner no Ato de) has been announced, with its teaser visual revealed. The series is scheduled to air in the "noitaminA" block on Fuji Television starting April 2025.

The teaser visual depicts butler Kageyama opening a silver cloche, with Reiko Hosho and Inspector Kazamatsuri positioned above. The background is playfully decorated with keywords that serve as case clues.

Based on the mystery novel series published by Shogakukan that has surpassed 5 million copies sold, the story follows the sharp-tongued comedy-mystery duo of young detective Reiko Hosho — secretly the daughter of the wealthy Hosho family — and Kageyama, her household butler whose brilliant deductive skills solve cases after dinner. Previously adapted into a live-action drama in 2011, this beloved series finally receives its anime adaptation.

Character concept design is by Oreco Tachibana ("Promise Cinderella," "Runaway Bride").
