Based on the manga by Yuritaro serialized on Shincho-sha's Kurage Bunch, the story follows Kaya-chan, a kindergartener at Hanamughi Kindergarten who possesses powerful spiritual abilities. While she fights off the ghosts that lurk near her friends and family, she ends up being treated as a problem child by those around her. However, when her homeroom teacher Chie-sensei discovers Kaya-chan's secret, her kindergarten life begins to change. The series blends horror and comedy in a unique kindergarten action setting.
The revealed key visual features a striking split composition: the bright, cheerful everyday life of the kindergarten on the left contrasted with eerie ghosts on the right, with Kaya-chan standing between the two worlds.
