"Cosmic Princess Kaguya!" is an original music animation set in the virtual space "Tsukuyomi," telling the story of three girls connected through song. Conceived under the concept "Beyond the fairy tale," the project reimagines the Japanese legend of Princess Kaguya in a contemporary context of virtual live streaming.
High school student Ayaha Sakoriyose discovers a baby emerging from a glowing gaming machine, who rapidly grows into a teenage girl named Kaguya. Defying a "summons from the moon," the pair pursues stardom through virtual live streaming.
As a music animation project, the film features songs by six legendary vocaloid producers representing the pinnacle of Japan's online music scene: ryo (supercell), kz (livetune), 40mP, HoneyWorks, Aqu3ra, and yuigot.
