The opening theme "Komorebi-zaka" will be performed by Galileo Galilei. The rock band, known for numerous anime tie-ins including "Aoi Shiori" (TV anime "Anohana: The Flower We Saw That Day" OP) and "Amadeus" (TV anime "Blue Orchestra Season 2" OP), created this original song following an enthusiastic request from the manga's creator, Akira Konno. Frontman Yuki Ozaki commented: "Reading the original manga, I felt as though my teenage feelings were being called back."

The ending theme "Hororo Shoyo" is performed by singer and percussionist Manami Kakudo, who also composes the show's background music. Kakudo handled all lyrics, composition, arrangement, and vocals for the song, which was inspired by the friendship between the mysterious creature Kujima and the protagonist, a boy named Arata. The track blends simple, nursery rhyme-like melodies with elements of Latin American and contemporary music.

Original creator Akira Konno also shared a special comment: "Even before there was any talk of an anime adaptation, I used to daydream about Galileo Galilei doing the theme song while drawing Kujima." Regarding the ending theme, Konno praised: "It feels like watching Arata and Kujima walking together from a distance."
Early digital distribution for both themes begins at midnight on April 10 (Fri).
