The main staff includes Chief Director Takeshi Mori (42Mo+), Director Yuichi Nakazawa, Series Composition by Noriko Machida, Character Design by Manami Inose, and Music by Takuro Iga. Animation production is handled by MAHO FILM.
Continuing from the original novel's voice dramas and promotional videos, Rie Takahashi will voice the protagonist Ko Matsurika, and Nobunaga Shimazaki will voice the emperor Hakuyo. Takahashi commented: "It's been 9 years since the novel's publication and 6 years since I first voiced Matsurika. I had been hoping for the chance to continue the role, so I'm incredibly happy and feel a renewed sense of responsibility." Shimazaki also expressed his joy: "I'm very happy to continue voicing Hakuyo in the anime as well."
A teaser visual PV featuring newly recorded voice performances by the cast has also been released, depicting Matsurika and Hakuyo standing in the imperial palace corridor as jasmine petals dance around them.
Additionally, a collaboration between three B's-LOG Bunko titles currently with anime adaptations — "The Villainess Is Adored by the Crown Prince of the Neighboring Kingdom," "Even Though I'm a Timid MAX Lady, I Took on My Capable Fiance's Bet," and "Matsurika Kanriden" — has been announced. Special collaboration bookmarks will be distributed at AnimeJapan 2026 on March 28-29.
