Based on the manga by Susumu Maeya serialized in Kodansha, the story follows Suzume, a maid who worked at a manor in England. After a certain incident, she begins a new life in a small apartment in Japan. While she has plenty of worries about living alone in Japan for the first time, Suzume is fascinated by Japanese food. She dashes out of her apartment to discover all kinds of delicious dishes and meet wonderful people along the way. Built around the concept of "Just eating, just watching. And yet it brings such happiness!", this heartwarming daily-life anime follows an extraordinary maid living an ordinary life.
Animation production is handled by EMT Squared. The revealed key visual depicts protagonist Suzume at the center, surrounded by characters including Ricotta and Komatsuna, along with delicious-looking foods such as tempura, stew, and cake.
It was also announced that Daisuke Sakuma (Snow Man) will voice Chun, Suzume's companion who introduces food-related trivia throughout the series.
