A boy who transfers from the countryside to a city high school reunites with a childhood friend he once believed was a boy. "The Neat and Pretty Girl at My New School Is a Childhood Friend I Thought Was a Boy," a school romantic comedy of mismatched impressions, has been greenlit for a TV anime, with its first main visual and cast now revealed.

The series is based on the light novel by Hibariyu, published under Kadokawa Sneaker Bunko. The girl reputed to be the neatest, prettiest student at his new school is in fact the childhood friend he once played with, convinced she was a boy — and the moment they are alone, her old boyish self resurfaces. Animation production is by project No.9.
