"Medalist" Anime Film Announced for 2027 — Ultra Teaser Visual & PV Revealed

Alongside the final episode broadcast of the TV anime "Medalist" Season 2, it has been announced that a theatrical film adaptation of "Medalist" will premiere in 2027. An ultra teaser visual and ultra teaser PV have also been revealed.



The ultra teaser visual depicts protagonist Inori Yuitaba (CV: Natsumi Haruse) facing off against her greatest rival, Hikaru Rogiri (CV: Kana Ichinose), in a dramatic composition that hints at Inori's challenge for the top. The visual bears the tagline "The All-Japan Novice Competition Begins."

The ultra teaser PV offers a glimpse of the battles ahead as Inori and her coach Tsukasa take on the All-Japan Novice Competition in the upcoming film.

Additionally, multiple events featuring the cast are scheduled for March 28 (Saturday). At AnimeJapan 2026, a special stage with Natsumi Haruse, Takeo Otsuka, Kana Ichinose, and Yuma Uchida will be held at the BLUE Stage starting at 10:45. That same evening at 19:00, the "Anime 'Medalist' DREAM Lantern by Kandenko" event will take place at Tokyo Dream Park.

"Medalist" is a figure skating anime based on the manga by Tsurumaikada, serialized in Kodansha's "Afternoon." Season 1 aired in 2025, and Season 2 began broadcasting in January 2026 on TV Asahi's nationwide "NUMAnimation" block. The original manga won first place in the Comics category at the "Next Manga Awards 2022" and received numerous accolades including the 48th Kodansha Manga Award.
