Based on the manga by Tomato Soup, serialized in Akita Shoten's Monthly Princess magazine, the story is set in the 13th-century Mongol Empire. It follows Sitara, a young herbalist who becomes known as the "Jaadugar (witch) of the tent," as she navigates the turbulent era in this historical fantasy.
Animation production is handled by Science SARU, with Naoko Yamada serving as chief director and Abel Gongora as director. Character design and chief animation direction are by Kenichi Yoshida, series composition by Kanichi Katou, and music by Koshiro Hino.
