This fourth anime adaptation of the massively popular fantasy series "Ascendance of a Bookworm," which boasts over 13 million copies in print, features animation production by WIT STUDIO — the studio behind "Attack on Titan" and "SPY×FAMILY." The series will air on the Yomiuri TV / Nippon TV network on Saturdays at 5:30 PM for two consecutive cours.
Blu-ray BOX I will contain the first 12 episodes of the series. The three-sided box features newly drawn artwork by Yu Shiina, the illustrator of the original novels. The set also includes a booklet with production materials, a key animation gallery, and staff interviews, a drama CD with over 60 minutes across 6 side-story episodes, and a soundtrack featuring background music plus in-character vocal performances by the cast. Bonus video content includes creditless OP/ED sequences and promotional videos. The set is priced at ¥34,800 (tax included).
Additionally, DVD releases have been confirmed in four volumes with three episodes each: VOL.1 on April 29, VOL.2 on May 20, VOL.3 on June 10, and VOL.4 on July 1 (¥3,300 each, tax included).
