The series is an anime adaptation of a popular light novel by Enai that won the Grand Prize at the 29th Dengeki Novel Prize, ranked No. 1 in the light novel category of Dokushometer OF THE YEAR 2023-2024, and took the top spot in the "Novel You Want to See Adapted" category of the 11th Shizuoka Bookstore Awards. The story is a bittersweet youth drama about a girl created as a substitute who falls in love.
Episode 1 Synopsis:
Nao, a replica who attends school in place of Sunao when she is not feeling well, spends time with childhood friend Ritsuko in the literary club. An unexpected new member arrives wanting to join despite the unusual timing—former basketball ace and classmate Akiya Sanada.
