The teaser visual released alongside the announcement depicts Tohka Yatogami wearing a wedding dress and holding a bouquet, her gentle smile hinting at a significant turn in the story. A teaser PV was also unveiled, looking back on all twelve Spirits through voice lines and footage and closing with one of the series' signature lines.
Junji Nishimura returns as director, with animation production handled by Fugaku. Original creator Koushi Tachibana and original character designer Tsunako both return to the project. The main cast reprises their roles in full: Nobunaga Shimazaki as Shido Itsuka, Marina Inoue as Tohka Yatogami, Misuzu Togashi as Origami Tobiichi, Ayana Taketatsu as Kotori Itsuka, Iori Nomizu as Yoshino, Asami Sanada as Kurumi Tokisaki, Maaya Uchida as Kaguya Yamai, Sarah Emi Bridcutt as Yuzuru Yamai, Minori Chihara as Miku Izayoi, Ayumi Mano as Natsumi, Hitomi Nabatame as Nia Honjo, Akari Kageyama as Mukuro Hoshimiya, and Aya Endo as Mio Takamiya.
Celebratory comments have also arrived from creator Tachibana, illustrator Tsunako, and cast members Shimazaki and Inoue. Tachibana said: "It has been a year since the new project was announced — thank you for your patience. A meaningful title, a meaningful teaser visual. Just what is going on with Tohka in that wedding dress?" He also reflected on the series' 15th anniversary. Tsunako revealed that she designed "special outfits for all twelve Spirits, each reflecting their individual personalities."
Shimazaki commented: "More than ten years have passed since I first met Shido. I want to fight through this to the very end without forgetting my original resolve." Inoue added: "And above all, happy birthday to the day Tohka became Tohka!"
The series tagline reads: "Come now — let us begin our final war… our final date."
