■Comments from the Original Author, Director, and Cast
●Original Author: Ekiko Mikawa
Congratulations on the 2nd anniversary of the anime! In Season 2, the Teitoku members finally make their debut. Hitomi Hasegawa's character designs and the cast's perfect-fit performances are incredible — please look forward to it! There's even more comedy and serious drama than in Season 1, so I'm really excited.
●Game Producer: Eiju Takashima
Looking back over these two years, I've been struck again and again by how amazing and wonderful anime is. What left the deepest impression on me was watching my young nephew, still in the lower grades of elementary school, become completely hooked on "Bokyaku Battery," shouting "I'm Todo!!!" while swinging a bat and even starting to practice baseball. The fact that this reached a child who can't yet read all the kanji — that, to me, is the true magic of animation. I'm really looking forward to Season 2 as well!
●Director: Masato Nakazono
Two years in the blink of an eye! I'm delighted to be working on TV anime "Bokyaku Battery" once again. Along with the staff and cast continuing from Season 1 and everyone newly joining us for Season 2, we're working hard to deliver an even more powered-up "Bokyaku Battery." Please wait just a little longer for the broadcast. It seems we have various things "in the works" this year too, so we greatly appreciate fans' continued support!
●Toshiki Masuda (as Haruka Kiyomine)
Hello, everyone watching the special. I'm Toshiki Masuda, the voice of Haruka Kiyomine. I feel genuine joy at reaching this 2nd anniversary during the very moment Season 2 is in active production. The atmosphere on set is so relaxed it's hard to believe two years have passed, yet every episode is being crafted with real passion. Season 2 will once again feature non-stop comedy and gag-filled dialogue, along with an even more intense portrayal of high school baseball. Please look forward to a powered-up Kotesashi.
●Mamoru Miyano (as Kei Kaname)
To all "Bokyaku Battery" fans, pai-geeeeeee!!! Thanks to your pai-ge — I mean, your support — we've made it to the anime's 2nd anniversary. My heartfelt thanks. "Bokyaku Battery" has such wonderful teamwork, and even now the recording studio is bursting with passion as we all work together. So please look forward to Season 2's broadcast. If you don't keep cheering for us, it'll be muri-muri-muri-muri-Muririn-Monroe. Finally, everyone, say it with me, loudly! Ready, set — pai-geeeeeeeeeeee!!!
●Yuki Kaji (as Taro Yamada)
Recording for Season 2 has already begun, and feeling the atmosphere of the "Bokyaku Battery" set again after so long, I thought, "Ah! This, this!" It brought back such a nostalgic feeling. If you look at just the story, it's an intensely sincere and serious drama, yet it's joined by gag elements so bold they almost feel forceful (laughs) — and somehow they coexist completely naturally. I was reminded that this is precisely what makes this work unique. Every week is genuinely fun! The way it catches hold of unrequited feelings and laughs them off, the way it turns even regret and setback into energy — I love that raw, human earthiness!
