<Ending Theme: "Hinatabokko" by REIRIE>
The ending theme of "Reiwa no Dara-san" has been decided as "Hinatabokko" by REIRIE. The warm, gentle song colors the afterglow of every episode. The opening theme is "Dara Dara ♡ Dancing."

REIRIE is a two-member unit formed in January 2023 by Rei Kuromiya and Rie Kaneko. After previously working together in a different unit, the two reunited years later as if by fate. Their distinctive worldview resonates strongly with fans—the majority of whom are women—and with their acclaimed visuals and high live-performance skills, they have appeared at numerous festivals in Japan and abroad, growing their fanbase nationwide through solo concerts.

<New Characters & Cast>
<Shu Hasegawa (CV: Aoi Koga)>
A second-year middle school student who transfers into Hinata's class. After suddenly collapsing in the summer at age 12 and growing rapidly, Shu recently woke up. Carrying a mature air, Shu is somehow interested in Hinata.
Cast comment (Aoi Koga): "I'm Aoi Koga, playing Shu Hasegawa. When I first read the original, I found the structure—alternating between past and present—so fascinating that I got absorbed, eager to learn more about Dara-san and everyone's connections. I'm so glad to take part as Shu. There's a lot going on with Shu—being curious about Hinata, seeming a bit grown-up—and I'll do my best so everyone supporting the work can enjoy Shu's debut. Please look forward to it!"
<Naomichi Fudeki (CV: Tomokazu Sugita)>
Kaoru's homeroom teacher. He lives alone and keeps one cat.

Cast comment (Tomokazu Sugita): "One day, I was looking at social media and our eyes met. I couldn't look away, and as I kept staring, a smile gradually welled up. That was Dara-san. I'm happy to be part of the anime, and as a fan of the work, I'm looking forward to it too."
<Miwa Isoko (CV: Mai Aizawa)>
A neighbor of the Misokiya family. A freelance designer who is also active in doujin circles.

Cast comment (Mai Aizawa): "I'm Mai Aizawa, and I'll be appearing in Reiwa no Dara-san. From the moment I read the original, I thought, 'Huh? This person is kind of like me!'—and that was Miwa. When I was cast, I felt joy and surprise along with a strange feeling. Miwa is a bit awkward with personal distance. There were many moments I related to. I'd be happy if viewers find something to relate to as well. The anime is packed with little touches that make you grin, so please watch closely. I can't wait for the broadcast!"
<Elder Shrine Maiden (CV: Saori Hayami)>
A shrine maiden of an exorcist family and the elder of twin sisters. Together with her younger sister, she slew the monster Yamatagimadara and severed its head.

Cast comment (Saori Hayami): "When I first encountered the work, I was drawn in by its brisk pace and warm, laugh-out-loud atmosphere. That said, this is a work with a clear divide between light and shadow. As the elder shrine maiden, I'm in charge of the damp, dimly-lit parts. While healed by the gentle mood on set, I switched gears completely during recording. Including those aspects, it's a work you can fully enjoy! Please tune in to the broadcast."
<Orochi (CV: Hochu Otsuka)>
The spirit of a monster once called Yamatagimadara. After being slain by decapitation, its head was sealed in a hidden cave in the western mountain, and its body in the eastern mountain.
Cast comment (Hochu Otsuka): "I was born deep in the mountains of Okayama Prefecture, raised hearing many local yokai legends from my grandmother. Her bedtime tales from long ago come back to me fondly. Now it's my turn to speak as Orochi—somehow I'm thrilled and happy. I want to portray an Orochi who isn't just scary, but also a little cute and charming."

<Introduction>
Deep in a mountain hamlet lies a "forbidden ground" that no one is allowed to enter. With an eerie shrine standing within, the place is said to curse—and even kill—anyone who sets foot inside. Hinata and Kaoru are born into the Misokiya family, who have managed the mountain for generations. One stormy night, the two trespass into the forbidden ground and encounter the giant serpent-bodied curse god, Yamatagimadara. But rather than fearing the apparition, the two cheerfully call it "Dara-san" and quickly grow attached! "I'm supposed to be a curse god, you know!?" Swept along by the fearless Hinata and Kaoru, the apparition finds itself playing the straight man! A noisy yet heartwarming daily life spun by a Dara-san with a sad past and an overly free-spirited pair of siblings. A new-sensation occult comedy born of the Reiwa era begins!
