Necry Talkie has been announced to perform the ending theme for the TV anime "Yani Neko," airing from July 2026, and will release the digital EP "Kemuri to Blue e.p." — titled after the ED theme — on Wednesday, August 5. From September, they will hold the nationwide two-man tour <Okey Talkie! Zenkoku-hen vol.7> in support of the new EP.
The TV anime "Yani Neko" is based on the manga by Nyan Nyan Factory serialized in Kodansha's "Young Magazine." In a world where humans and beastfolk coexist, it loosely depicts the smoke-filled daily life of Yani Neko, a beastman who lazes through life smoking cigarettes. It premieres Thursday, July 2, 2026, on TOKYO MX, BS11, and AT-X. The opening theme is "Nanmonee" by Wasureranneyo, and the ending theme is "Kemuri to Blue" by Necry Talkie.
Necry Talkie is a band formed in 2017 centered on Asahi, becoming the current five-piece lineup when Ikuka Nakamura officially joined in March 2019. Mossa's instantly catchy vocals, Asahi's cynical lyrical world, and music-loving, never-straightforward melodies are full of addictive charm, drawing attention well beyond the band scene.
