The TV anime "Kekkaishi no Ichirinka," a supernatural-meets-Japanese-style romantic fantasy by Kureha (author of the hit novel "The Demon's Bride") that has surpassed 2.5 million copies in cumulative circulation (as of 2026), will premiere in January 2027. Alongside the broadcast announcement, a second teaser visual and a trailer have been released. The main cast was also unveiled: Akari Kito as Hana Ichise and Kikunosuke Toya as Saku Ichinomiya.

Amid cherry blossoms in full bloom, Saku gazes gently yet boldly at Hana, who is flustered but drawn to him — the beautiful visual captures the delicate distance between two people whose relationship begins with a "contract marriage." Animation production is handled by TROYCA, known for numerous acclaimed works.

<Cast Comments>
<Hana Ichise — Akari Kito>
"I'm Akari Kito, voicing Hana Ichise! From the very first time I encountered this work, I loved Hana's refreshing personality, and I'm playing her hoping to express her unpretentious, strong-cored nature in the anime too. I'll do my very best so that this work — full of laughter, tears and heart-fluttering moments — will be loved by even more people through the anime!"

<Saku Ichinomiya — Kikunosuke Toya>
"Saku has a heart of steel, while Hana has grown cold toward her life as a sorcerer. It's a wonderful work that depicts how these two, who began with a 'marriage in name only,' gradually open their hearts to each other. I'll carefully portray the emotional changes born after Saku meets Hana. I look forward to your support!"
