The revival is titled "I Want to Be the Eminence in Shadow on the Radio Too! ~interlude~" and will deliver various series-related information on an irregular schedule. The first episode will stream on Monday, July 13, 2026 at 8:00 PM on the YouTube KADOKAWA Anime Channel. Personality Seiichiro Yamashita (Cid Kagenou/Shadow) will be joined by guest Asami Seto (Alpha).
The first broadcast is expected to deliver new information about the "The Eminence in Shadow" Anime & Game Joint Public Live Broadcast announced for November.
"The Eminence in Shadow the Movie: Lost Echoes" is scheduled for release in 2027. The popular anime series, with over 7.8 million copies sold, gets its first theatrical film. Set in "Japan," where protagonist Cid Kagenou lived before his reincarnation, the story follows Shadow after defeating cult executive Mordred, as he is pulled through a gate and arrives with Beta in the Japan where he once lived as Minoru Kageno. The film depicts a world devastated by magical beasts, humanity's last stronghold "Messiah," and a reunion with former classmate Akane. The cast includes Seiichiro Yamashita as Cid Kagenou/Shadow, Yui Horie as Akane Nishino, Inori Minase as Beta, Yukari Tamura as Yuuka Asakura, and Takehito Koyasu as Mordred.
