Based on the light novel by Rokuro Uraji published by Frontier Works (Nox Novels), the series began as a web novel in 2013, was published in print in 2016, and received a manga adaptation by Chihiro Masuda serialized in COMIC Ragutyu from 2021. The story follows Yusuke Takemura, a man with the unique constitution of being the only person not attacked by zombies in a world suddenly overrun by the undead. In a world where ethics and morality have vanished, he begins acting on his own desires rather than rising as a hero, in this zombie panic action series.
Originally scheduled for broadcast in 2026, the premiere has been postponed to January 2027 to deliver the series in the best possible form. It is planned to air on AT-X.
The released teaser PV features Wataru Kato as protagonist Yusuke Takemura and Yuno Azuma as heroine Mizuki Fujino. The footage offers a glimpse of the passionate performances from both actors as they tackle challenging roles.
Animation production is handled by Acca effe and Frontier Engine. The director is Kazuya Fujishiro, with series composition by Yasushi Hirano, screenwriters Kayo Shimoyama and Makuto Okimi, character design by Megumi Ishihara, sound direction by Naofumi Jinbo, and music by ISAO.
