TV anime "BLACK TORCH," based on the popular manga by Tsuyoshi Takaki serialized on Shueisha's "Shonen Jump+," will premiere on July 4, 2026 at 22:00 on TOKYO MX and other channels. Ahead of the broadcast, the synopsis and preview images for Episode 1, titled "The Future Is in Our Hands," have been released.

Jiro Azuma is a high school student descended from ninja who possesses the ability to communicate with animals. One day, he discovers an injured black cat and tends to its wounds, but the cat turns out to be Raku, a legendary mono-no-ke (supernatural being) that has awakened from a long slumber...
