The announcement was made at the Crunchyroll Industry Panel during Anime Expo 2026, held in Los Angeles from July 2, on July 3 local time (early morning July 4 Japan time).
The Season 5 teaser visual features a striking monochrome illustration of the four Cardinal Heroes including Naofumi and the Hakuko siblings standing back to back, with a bold red logo designed exclusively for this season.
A comment has arrived from director Hitoshi Haga, who continues to helm the series from Season 4.
