Originally a comic posted by Takuji Kato on X, the series later added illustrator Gashigashi and is now serialized as a comedy in KADOKAWA's Dragon Comics Age imprint (via the webcomic platform Dora Dora Sharp#). It follows Renbinkyo, head of the Demon Army Development Bureau, and his assistant Retsue, as they research and develop elaborate traps for adventurers, from clothes-dissolving slimes to tentacle snares. The teaser visual, tagged with the catchphrase 'Prepare yourselves, Demon Army!!', shows Merisha, an adventurer aspiring to be a proper hero, confronting Renbinkyo and Retsue.
The main cast has been revealed: Junichi Suwabe as Renbinkyo, Wakana Kuramochi as Retsue, and Haruka Shiraishi as Merisha. Comments from the cast have also arrived.
