"Bokyaku Battery" Season 2 Set for 2027 With Second Teaser Visual; Ryuichi Kijima Joins "Bokyaku Festa 2026"

"Bokyaku Battery" (original work by Eko Mikawa), serialized in Shueisha's "Shonen Jump+" and a hit with over 400 million cumulative in-app views, has revealed the second teaser visual for its TV anime Season 2, which is set to air in 2027. It was also announced that Ryuichi Kijima, who voices Takasu of Hoshiaki Gakuen, will join the large-scale event "Bokyaku Festa 2026" held in November.



"Bokyaku Battery" is a youth baseball series popular for its unique amnesiac protagonist, appealing characters, realistic depiction of high-school baseball, and an exquisite balance of comedy and drama. Serialization began in 2018, the first season of the TV anime aired in April 2024, and a second season is confirmed for 2027.

For "Bokyaku Festa 2026," to be held on Sunday, November 29, 2026 at Tachikawa Stage Garden, Ryuichi Kijima (Takasu) has newly joined a cast that includes Toshiki Masuda (Haruka Kiyomine), Mamoru Miyano (Kei Kaname), Yohei Azakami (Aoi Todo), Nobunaga Shimazaki (Shunpei Chihaya), Yuki Kaji (Taro Yamada), Yoshiki Yamaya (Kazuki Tsuchiya), Takeo Otsuka (Eiichiro Kunito), Mark Ishii (Hironobu Makita), Kengo Kawanishi (Akito Kirishima), and Gen Sato (Sato). Advance lottery applications opened at 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 19.

<Special Cheering Uchiwa Handed Out at Koshien Station>
To coincide with the 108th National High School Baseball Championship, special cheering uchiwa (fans) will be distributed in front of the Hanshin Railway Koshien Station (East Exit) on Saturday, August 8 and Saturday, August 15, on match days. Distribution runs from 12:30 to 17:30 each day, ending once the planned supply runs out.
