TV Anime "Fate/kaleid liner Prisma Illya FINALE" Set for 2027, Unveiling Second Teaser Visual and Main Staff & Cast

"Fate/kaleid liner Prisma Illya FINALE," the newest entry in the "Prisma Illya" series—a spin-off of "Fate/stay night" starring Illya—has been confirmed to air as a TV anime in 2027. A second teaser visual and the first wave of main staff and cast information were also revealed, along with a comment from director Hideki Yasuo.

The sequel to "Fate/kaleid liner Prisma Illya Licht: The Nameless Girl," which screened nationwide in August 2021 and had a sequel announced, has been titled "Fate/kaleid liner Prisma Illya FINALE." As the title suggests, it will bring the series to its conclusion, airing as a TV anime in 2027. The second teaser visual, newly drawn by character designer Kazuya Hirata, depicts Illya and Miyu gazing forward with their wands at the ready, and Chloe smiling gently.

<Story>
After a fierce battle with the Ainsworths, Illya and the others reach the truth of the "nameless girl"—Pandora. Julian tries to open Pandora's box (the pithos) to grant the girl the salvation of death. Illya held fast to her ideal that everyone could be saved and severed that karma... or so it seemed. But Darius, his conceptual replacement complete, takes over Julian and once again reaches for the Ainsworths' cherished wish of "human salvation." To cut the causality of a world reaching its end, Illya, Miyu and Chloe face Darius. The magical girls' final battle begins.

"Everyone, it's been a while... and I mean a really long while. That said, I wasn't just sitting around waiting. It's a TV series! There was talk of a film, but they graciously accepted our request to make it a TV series so we could see it all the way through! (Thank you!) As the title says, this is the finale. We were given exactly the runtime we needed, so we're hard at work to deliver every last bit of the work's appeal. There are also parts we want to expand beyond the original comic, and we're giving it our all under Hiroyama-sensei's supervision and cooperation. Please look forward to it."
