TV Anime "Shikin Onekobo: Forbidden City Cat Guard Room" Teaser Visual Unveiled; Episodes 1-4 Air Non-Stop on October 10

The teaser visual for "Shikin Onekobo: Forbidden City Cat Guard Room", the Japanese-dubbed TV anime of a Chinese animation based on a manga modeled after the real cats living in Beijing's Forbidden City, has been unveiled. The series premieres October 10, 2026 at 20:00 on TOKYO MX and other stations with a non-stop broadcast of episodes 1-4, followed by weekly Wednesday broadcasts from October 14.

The story centers on the "Cat Guard Room", a secret organization of six cats protecting national treasures in a corner of the Forbidden City, defending the memories dwelling in cultural artifacts against the evil "Black Owl".

A character PV and visual for team leader Soubi (CV: Kazuki Ura) were also released, with more character reveals to follow.

The cast includes Kazuki Ura as Soubi, Makoto Furukawa as Oboi, Sora Amamiya as Heian, Kentaro Tone as Rohan, Takeo Otsuka as Zeze, and Hikaru Tono as Momo. Produced by iQIYI with the Japanese version by KADOKAWA.
