To commemorate manga artist Kia Asamiya's 40th anniversary as a creator, the "Silent Mobius Anniversary Premium Box" -- collecting the two theatrical anime films "Silent Mobius: The Motion Picture" (1991) and "Silent Mobius 2" (1992) -- will be released on December 25, 2026. This marks the first domestic Blu-ray release of the two films.

"Silent Mobius" is a cyberpunk saga set in near-future Tokyo, following the women of the A.M.P. (Attacked Mystification Police), who battle otherworldly invaders called Lucifer Hawks in a world where psychic powers and cutting-edge technology intertwine. The first film premiered in 1991 and the second in 1992. The year 2026 marks both Asamiya's 40th anniversary as an artist and the 35th anniversary of the first film's theatrical release.

The first film was helmed by Michitaka Kikuchi as chief director, character designer and storyboard artist, with Kazuo Tomizawa directing; the second film was directed by Yasunori Ide. Both films feature music by Kaoru Wada, animation production by AIC, and Naoko Matsui voicing protagonist Katsumi Liqueur.

The Blu-ray BOX is priced at 22,000 yen (24,200 yen tax included). Bonus items include a framed A4 reproduction art print newly drawn by Kia Asamiya, a slipcase featuring the same artwork, and a special leaflet. Five retailers -- KADOKAWA Store, Amazon.co.jp, Animate, Sofmap/Animega, and Rakuten Books -- will also offer their own exclusive bonus items.
