An OVA based on the sci-fi manga serialized in Monthly Comic NORA by Shinichi Yuuki. Released on video by Shochiku CBS/FOX Video, it also screened theatrically in Shochiku Fuji cinemas ahead of the home video release. The title 'TWD' derives from the initials of its members — Tiger, Wolf, and Dragon — who run a space shipping company and cruise across the galaxy aboard their high-speed transport vessel Slider 7 in a lighthearted space adventure. When the trio inadvertently purchases a top-secret cutting-edge military aircraft from space pirates, they find themselves caught up in pirate raids, and their ensuing escapades unfold at an exhilarating pace. Directed by Kunihiko Yuzawa with animation by Studio Gallop, the fresh character designs radiate youthful energy, earning the work recognition as a fine example of 1980s sci-fi anime.
