A comedy OVA co-produced by Gakken and Pony Canyon, with animation by AIC, directed by Nobuyuki Kitajima, and character designs by Noboru Furuse. Based on Naruo Kanno's popular manga 'Pantsu no Ana,' which had been a massive hit as a live-action film, it depicts the slapstick daily lives and adolescent anxieties of pubescent high school boys with lighthearted, well-paced direction. The voice cast featured up-and-coming voice actresses of the era including Yoshino Takamori, and the work was packed with small gags and parodies reflecting 1980s youth culture. The LaserDisc edition was released later that year, generating buzz through its multi-format distribution. Remembered as a teen comedy OVA that comically captured the lives of ordinary high schoolers, it holds a special place among subcultural audiences.
