The heroine Alcia, living in the pastoral countryside of planet Libertia, dons the ancient robot armor 'Legaciam' that her grandfather Elzef had kept hidden, and flees from a government assault. With the help of her companions, she rescues her grandfather and learns the secrets of Legaciam and the mysterious tower standing at the center of the world, setting off on an adventure toward the enigmatic tower. Kitazume's characteristically fresh character designs merge with Tatsumi Yano's dignified soundtrack, creating an appealing structure that expands from a tense pursuit into a grand adventure romance. Rieko Iwama's vibrant heroine performance adds further charm, making this a fine work that helped sustain late-1980s sci-fi OVAs.
