A space opera-style robot OVA co-produced by Toho and Ashi Production (Reed Production), released on Toho Video and directed by Hiroshi Negishi. The story follows treasure hunter Riot, who travels through space in search of the rare mineral Ridonium found on planet Raphael, as he strives to collect the paired 'Eyes of Zalem' and open the stone chamber where hidden treasure sleeps. He encounters the Zalem tribe descendant girl Yuta, and together they battle the villainous space pirate Demster and his gang. The climax, in which Riot boards the giant robot Ladius for a decisive showdown, burns with intensity. The theme songs performed by Midori Karashima and Kazuki Yao carry both the refreshing energy and the melancholy characteristic of late-1980s OVAs, leaving a memorable impression.
