A sci-fi action OVA based on a work by Monkey Punch, directed by Jun Hirabayashi and Hideo Watanabe. Set in the 22nd-century metropolis of Shambhala City, where heinous incidents such as satellite crashes and space shuttle bombings are rampant, the story follows Yoko, a female reporter at Private Eyes Newspaper, and her cameraman partner Beat as they race to scoop the mysterious figure Mr. X lurking behind the incidents. When their informant, a professor, is assassinated, the pair infiltrate Mr. X's secret base on Technoland Island, closing in on the heart of a massive conspiracy. True to Monkey Punch's style, the work features stylish heroes and heroines in action, and the theme song performed by Natsuki Rei vividly colors this 1980s sci-fi detective adventure with fresh energy.
