An OVA based on Kouji Aihara's nonsense gag manga. Co-produced by Artmic, AIC, and Sony Music Entertainment, with director Hiroshi Sasakawa bringing the unique world to animated life. The polar bear Shiro and his family, who had been living peacefully in the mountains, are swept away by river rapids one day and end up near a human settlement. There, the entire family explores the thoroughly dilapidated town, curiously touching unfamiliar human tools and buildings in a comical journey depicted with a cynical yet warm perspective. Kenichi Nagira voiced Shiro while also writing, composing, and performing the ending theme 'Sabishii Yoru no Komori Uta' — an impressive triple role that generated considerable buzz. Together with Kuni Kawachi's arrangements, this work offers a delightful animated taste of Kouji Aihara's exquisite brand of cynicism.
