Medalist: The Movie

A theatrical film continuing the story of the TV anime "Medalist," produced by ENGI. Based on the manga of the same name by Ikada Tsuruma, serialized in Kodansha's Afternoon magazine, which topped the comics category of the 2022 "Next Manga Award" and won honors in the general category of the 48th Kodansha Manga Award, among others. The story follows figure skater Inori Yuitsuka, who dreams of becoming a "medalist," and her coach Tsukasa Akaneuraji, who guides her. The TV anime's first season aired in 2025, followed by a second season from January 2026 on TV Asahi's "NUMAnimation" programming block and others. The theatrical film is slated for release in 2027.
