An anime produced by Production I.G. Based on the light novel by Reki Kawahara, the author of Sword Art Online and Accel World, serialized in Dengeki Bunko (KADOKAWA) since 2022, with original character illustrations by Yukiko Horiguchi. Set around MR (Mixed Reality), it is a brand-new series depicting young people caught up in an incident where the real world and the virtual begin to fuse. As the key visual tagline declares, 「This is a game, and yet it is reality」, the story unfolds as the boundary between game and reality collapses. Centered on the protagonist Yuma Ashihara and his twin sister Sawa, it portrays their struggle against the mysteries and threats lurking in mixed reality. Shinji Ushiro serves as chief director, Kenichiro Komaya as director, Eiji Umehara handles series composition, and Yuki Hayashi and Noriyuki Chikaya compose the music, with animation production by Production I.G. The opening theme is Ado's new song 「Shinka」 (written and composed by Yurii Kanon). It streams worldwide exclusively on Prime Video from November 6, 2026.
