Produced by Sunrise. Based on the manga written by Dall-Young Lim and illustrated by Sung-Woo Park, serialized in Square Enix's Young Gangan. The series drew attention as the first-ever simultaneous broadcast across the US, Japan, and South Korea. College student Keita Ibuki encounters a girl named Kuro, a "Mototsumitama" (Root Spirit). When attacked by a mysterious man, Keita loses his left arm but survives through a "contract" with Kuro. The story follows them as they are drawn into fierce battles in a hidden world where humans and Root Spirits coexist.
