Produced by J.C.STAFF. Based on the manga by Kazuma Kamachi (story) and Motoi Fuyukawa (art), serialized in Kadokawa's Monthly Comic Dengeki Daioh. Over 6.8 million copies in circulation (as of 2016). A spinoff of "A Certain Magical Index," set in Academy City with a population of 2.3 million. The story follows 14-year-old Mikoto Misaka, ranked third among Level 5 espers and known as the "Railgun." Alongside Judgment member Kuroko Shirai, Kazari Uiharu, and Ruiko Saten, she confronts various incidents in Academy City.
