A TV anime produced by CloverWorks, based on the manga by Saka Mikami serialized in Kodansha's Magazine Pocket. The series has sold over 10 million copies (as of December 2025). Set in an environment where the bottom-tier boys' school Chidori High, known for gathering delinquents, sits next to the prestigious girls' school Kikyo Girls' Academy. Rintaro Tsumugi, a tough-looking but kind-hearted Chidori sophomore, meets a girl named Kaoruko Waguri who comes as a customer to his family's cake shop. Though Rintaro enjoys his time with Kaoruko, she turns out to be a Kikyo student who despises Chidori. A sweet and bittersweet love story between two from different worlds. Aired from July 2025.
