Based on the manga by Satoru Noda serialized in Shueisha's "Weekly Young Jump," with over 30 million copies in circulation (as of September 2025, all 31 volumes completed). Winner of the Osamu Tezuka Cultural Prize Grand Prize for Manga and the Manga Taisho 2016 Grand Prize. Sugimoto and Asirpa, having returned from Karafuto to Hokkaido, reach the climax of the gold rush competition, as three factions—Lieutenant Tsurumi's 7th Division, Hijikata Toshizo's gang, and their own—clash in Sapporo.
