Observation Record of the Self-Proclaimed Villainess Fiancée is a TV anime produced by Ashi Productions, based on the light novel by Shiki published by AlphaPolis. Illustrations by Yami☆Wan, manga adaptation by Natsume Hasumi. The series has surpassed 2.86 million copies in cumulative circulation including manga and digital editions. The impossibly perfect crown prince Cecil Glow Alphasta becomes engaged to Bertia Evil Noches, the prime minister's daughter. Bertia, who possesses memories of her past life, is convinced she is the "villainess" of an otome game and strives to be a proper villain so Cecil will break off their engagement. Despite her daily scheming, her bumbling nature and kind heart lead to constant misfires. As Cecil "observes" her, he finds himself increasingly drawn to her in this unique love fantasy.
