When Kujima Sings, the House Burns is a TV anime produced by Studio Hibari, based on the manga by Akira Konno serialized in Shogakukan's Gessan. Completed in 5 volumes. First-year middle schooler Arata Koda encounters a mysterious bird-like creature called "Kujima" one autumn day. Claiming to be from Russia, the enigmatic Kujima follows the hungry creature home to the Koda household, becoming a freeloader. With the family atmosphere tense due to the older brother's ronin year, Kujima brings a new breath of air. A fleeting yet warm family story spanning from winter to the arrival of spring. Directed by Noriyuki Nomata with series composition by Yasutomo Yamada and music by Maumi Kakudo. Starring Yuria Katsuki as Kujima, Ayumu Murase as Arata, and Yohei Azakami as Ei.
