A TV anime produced by Science SARU. Based on the manga by Masamune Shirow, first published in Kodansha's "Young Magazine Kaizokuban" in 1989, a cyberpunk masterpiece that has influenced the world. Set in a near-future where cyberization and cyborg technology have advanced, Major Motoko Kusanagi, a full-body cyborg, leads Public Security Section 9 in combating cybercrime and terrorism. A completely new production that returns to Masamune Shirow's original work. Series composition by science fiction author Toh EnJoe.
