A TV anime produced by Science SARU. Based on the manga serialized in Akita Shoten's "Souffle" by Tomato Soup. Chief director is Naoko Yamada of "K-On!" and "Liz and the Blue Bird" fame, character design by Kenichi Yoshida, music by Koshiro Hino. Set in the 13th-century Mongol Empire, this grand historical romance follows Fatima, a captive intellectual of Iranian origin, who meets Doregene, wife of the second Great Khan, and shakes the fate of the empire with her wisdom and ingenuity.
