A TV anime produced by Tatsunoko Production. Based on the manga serialized in Shogakukan's "Shojo Comic" by Chie Shinohara, with over 20 million copies in circulation (28 volumes, completed). Winner of the 46th Shogakukan Manga Award in the Shojo category. The series receives its first anime adaptation 24 years after the original serialization ended.
