Cat and Dragon is a TV anime produced by OLM, based on the novel by Amara (story) and Mai Okuma (illustrations) published by Takarajimasha Bunko. A popular work that achieved the unprecedented feat of reaching #1 in the Shosetsuka ni Narou daily short story rankings. Manga adaptation illustrated by Izumi Sasaki. Series circulation has surpassed 1.2 million copies. A fire dragon descends into a deep forest and lays an egg, upon which a mother cat arrives and gives birth to kittens. The kittens unknowingly keep warming the dragon egg, and the hatched dragon child is welcomed into the cat family as "a slightly unusual cat." Called "Uncle Wings" by the cats and feared as the "Cat Dragon" by humans, this fire-breathing dragon weaves a warm yet bittersweet fantasy alongside magic-wielding cats. Directed by Oh Jing-gu with series composition by Mitsutaka Hirota and music by Takahiro Obata. Starring Takehito Koyasu as Cat Dragon and Kikuko Inoue as Mama-nyan.
