Though I Am an Inept Villainess is a TV anime produced by Doga Kobo, based on the light novel by Satsuki Nakamura (story) and Yukiya (character concepts) published by Ichijinsha under Ichijinsha Novels. Originally serialized on Shosetsuka ni Narou. Manga adaptation by Ei Ohitsuji serialized in Ichijinsha's Comic ZERO-SUM. Series circulation has surpassed 4 million copies. Among the princesses of five noble families gathered at "Hinomiya," a training facility for future consorts, the beautiful and wise Reirin of the Kō family and the villainess-branded Keigetu of the Shu family have their bodies swapped on the night of Tanabata. The formerly frail Reirin rejoices in her new healthy body and overcomes adversity with iron will in this imperial palace body-swap reversal drama. Directed by Mitsue Yamazaki with series composition by Yoshiko Nakamura, character design by Ai Kikuchi, and music by Yukari Hashimoto.
