A TV anime produced by david production. Based on the manga serialized on Shogakukan's "Manga One" by Oreko Tachibana, with over 3.5 million copies in circulation (as of January 2026). Winner of the Digital Comic Award 2024 Grand Prize. Set in the Meiji era, this story of obsessive love depicts the forbidden contract marriage between Satoko Kirigaya, a young noblewoman of a count's family who is told she has little time to live, and Shinpei Goto, an assassin who is madly devoted to her. Directed by Takahiro Kamei of "Urusei Yatsura" and "JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Golden Wind."
