Fear Collector is a TV anime produced by NHK, based on the children's novel by Midori Sato and Norio Tsuruta (story) and Yon (illustrations) published by KADOKAWA under Kadokawa Tsubasa Bunko. Series circulation has surpassed 1 million copies. The mysterious beautiful boy Fushigi Chino, wearing a red hood, travels from place to place to "collect" materialized urban legends into his notebook. Alongside his companion Jimmy, a human-faced dog, he confronts supernatural phenomena while pursuing Himitsu Chino, a girl who materializes urban legends.
